Modern communities don't remember when door to door salesmen and saleswomen were not so unusual a phenomenon. We used to trust strangers. Maybe that was naive but the world liked itself better then. Police methods of detection then weren't computerized but they nevertheless had a database. Ralph Bellamy laid a trap and someone fell into it. I found myself entertained.
